Late Fall on the Speller Farm with red barns, picked peanuts and a dirt path leading to Rascoe Bond's horses will provide a good opportunity to paint any day. Artist Steve Love accompanied me on a session to paint these two barns from an emptied peanut field. I wanted to do this a few weeks ago with the peanuts still in the field, but it was way to wet. A warm late November sun really lit up these two old structures as they can be seen on any sunny afternoon on Hwy 17 North between Williamston and Windsor.
