In between Windsor and Aulander is the old Spruill Farm just off of 305. When the afternoon sun starts to sink, it casts a very warm light getting this barn yard as red as it gets.  This was a quick study with Fred Saunders as we only had an hour an a half or so to paint before the sun went down. The landowner and his dogs frequently crossed the road in a four wheel drive golf cart to critique our progress not really understanding the time constraints that we had placed on ourselves.
