Studio Still Life

This past weekend, Kevin Jackson, a friend from Hatteras, brought me some fresh Rose Bay oysters recently harvested during a Northeast wind in the Pamlico Sound. I put a few on the grill to loosen them up and began watching a still life instructional dvd from C W Mundy. Afterwards, I was really excited to try a painting myself but didn't have any shiny kettles, fresh flowers and any colorful fruit to magically arrange on an antique table.
The best I could come up with was a preexisting set up that I had used to eat the first batch of Kevin's oysters.
