Last weekend, the moon was either full or full enough to make some impressive tidal pools at Nags Head during low tide.  Sea water only knee deep between the beach and the sandbar is a temporary home for trapped crabs until the tide comes back in several hours later. My kids and their friends had a blast catching Jimmies such as the subject above and letting them free to watch them prepare for battle as they side-winded back to the safety of  the water.

I took several pics of the process and decided on this fellow this afternoon for the studio as it still was over 90 degrees outside after 5pm.
