The cypress needles and leaves are slightly changing color and with the smell of dug peanuts there is no mistaking that early fall has arrived.
With an aerial onslaught of gnats, artist Fred Saunders and I were able to get a good value study in on this little creek just off the Chowan River on the Hertford / Bertie County line.
