Beaufort, NC's beautiful waterfront gives you this kind of view and endless marine subjects to paint such as these two boats anchored up until the weekend. Also plentiful are live oaks providing shade to set up under and crank out a painting. Steve Love and I tried this back light approach as the midday intense sun beat down.
