You either love 'em or you hate 'em. I love 'em and wish I had one. Nothing, except a low riding Harley Fatboy or Road King represents freedom more to me.  Off of Old Beach Road on Middle Road on Ocracoke island sits this beauty on an overgrown lot. I've studied many of artist Tim Horn's paintings of Airstreams but never had tried one.  Last weekend artist Mike Rooney showed up with a beautiful painting of this same camper. It was now or never for me, and I had to try one myself. I was scared to death reminding myself every step of the way that it was nothing but dulled down reflected colors of the yard, trees and sky in a nice round metallic loaf of bread on wheels.

The only thing that could be better after finishing would have been to step in this beaut and kick back with a beer to look over my finished painting.
