A few summers ago, a bunch of blue crabs were caught up in a tidal pool on the beach at Nags Head where they had to wait until high tide to come back in before they could get back in the ocean. My kids and their cousins had a ball with a bucket and net catching the crabs and putting them on the sandbar to watch the fearless crustaceans put up a fight as they side shuffled back into the water. I was able to get some good pics of both the kids and crabs.
