One of a few dry and pretty days lately, and I rode out towards Indian Woods to, as the old timers used to say, see what I see.  What I saw was this set up at Heckstall Corner.  Having been in the truck for only a couple of minutes and ready to get outside and paint, I stopped right here and painted the lead in to Ned Heckstall's place.  When I was younger before kids, this was a weekly hang out for a few beers and laughs.  Before 9/11 one could enjoy some good old fashioned recreational explosives from time to time - another liberty taken away from the good folk because of a few idiots.  One night, Marty Williams was asked to bring his pig cooker and cook some chickens for the gathering.  In addition to a few tanks of propane and raw poultry, Mr. Williams brought a long some dynamite and low grade ammonal to help provide some intellectual stimulation that had been lacking in prior evenings. After a few washing machines and televisions were blown to kingdom come, it was time to eat.
