This is one of those subjects, that I would normally have looked over, but a few years ago John "Possum" Silver showed me this view from Ice Plant Island looking over the creek and marsh as he cranked out a beautiful painting from a sort of blah scene. Ever since, I have been more attentive of good compositions that just don't pop out at you at once.
Wanting to practice my quick draw time and with little time to beat the clouds late yesterday afternoon, I wasn't able to crank this out in the goal of an hour and a half but was able to sign it within two hours before the clouds took out the last bit of sun from the front moving on the Outer Banks.
