Slow and Easy

Another perk of living in the Coastal Plain of North Carolina is seeing rusty old commercial fishing and shrimp trawling boats either tied up to a tar dripping piling beside a flimsy wooden dock or seeing them in action on the open sound with hundreds of sea birds behind them.

One day when fishing near Swan Quarter, I was able to get a few good pics of this one heading back in from a day's haul on a slow and easy drift through a crooked marsh slough.
