Plein Air
Tucked in on the South Side of the Albemarle Sound in Tyrrell County is Cypress Cove Marina. The boatyard, with its tractors hauling trailored boats and boats drydocked in the grass for repairs, provides some really good opportunities for a plein air session. Steve Love met me here to try some boats in the water, and we settled on the Willy Nilly and the other two sailing skiffs tied up beside her.
