Sundown on the Albemarle

24x30
Oil on Canvas
SOLD

The West side of the Albemarle Sound is the perfect seat for a sunrise, but when the sun sets, it can really light up the scattered cypress trees that dot the shore line between Salmon Creek and Bachelor's Bay.  As many become homes for nesting Osprey in the Spring and Summer, many now host the resurging Bald Eagle as well. Just yesterday, Hosea Wilson and I watched one with binoculars as he landed on top of the painting's subject to hunt for a white perch.
