Little Washington is one of the prettiest waterfront towns in Eastern North Carolina nestled on the banks where the Tar and Pamilico Rivers meet.  When I was a kid frequently staying with my grandparents I became very familiar with the downtown that back then thrived with commerce and retail lining up Main Street. Running parallel to Main on the waterfront side is East Water Street connected to Main by South Market St.

Recently I met Josh Kilpatrick for Lunch at Down on Main Street Restaurant that has parking in the back overlooking the River and railroad trestle. As we were coming out it was blowing Southwest pretty hard and the clouds were sailing by reflecting some vibrant light on these old colorful renovated buildings at the corner of Market and Water Streets. Once again, I had to hold Josh up as I began taking several pictures of this crossroad on the Pamilico.
