A Little on The Shady Side

12x16
Oil on Linen
SOLD

After painting with Fred Saunders a couple of times, he said that I needed to look at Joshua Been's Prolific Easel and consider getting one if I liked Plein Air painting.  I did just that and tried it out on another trip with him. This time I was fortunate enough to paint with artist Jaquelin Perry (http://www.johnsilvergallery.com/perry.html) as well who had arranged for a session at the beautiful home and farm of Wood and Patty Farless at Hermitages on the banks of the Chowan River.

While Jaquelin opted for a go at some of the out buildings and pretty gardens in the back yard, Fred and I chose a good hilly scence out front with some early Spring foilage that provided some good shade .
